Book Appointment

If you are a parent/guardian setting up an appointment for a minor online, you must put your (parent/guardian) name in the designated “first name” and “last name” section and include your email and phone. Additionally, when you receive your client portal login information through email, you (parent/guardian) must be the one to complete the initial paperwork. Once the appointment is confirmed and insurance or other means of payment is verified, you will be required to be a part of the first appointment so that you, your child, and the therapist can discuss all concerns and go over all documentation together.

Initial Session

This first session involves a review of written information from the intake forms between the therapist, parent/guardian and the client. The facts, experiences and perspectives the therapist gathers from the client and their caregivers lay the foundation for effective and goal-directed as therapy.

The intake process helps to obtain a clear focus on past and present concerns, and it allows for collaboration that informs the direction to take in the therapeutic process and treatment planning. Prior to this process parents/guardians will also give written consent for treatment of their child and discuss any questions or concerns.

In order to provide a more progressive therapy experience, sessions may involve additional assessments given with the consent of the parents/guardians. These assessments allow for more accurate decisions in the diagnostic process and determining scientifically verified or evidence-based treatment interventions.
